There’s no better place to enjoy the ‘craic’ with the Fairies, Leprechauns and a thick, rich pint of Guinness.
Dublin has been referred to as the heart and life of Ireland, and whilst the breathtaking emerald landscape is dotted with must-see villages and towns, it would take a strong argument to convince anyone otherwise. One night out pub crawling through Dublin is all it takes to fall in love with this Celtic treasure. Enjoy a refreshing beer in the famous Temple Bar, a lively cluster of cosy Irish bars where you’ll hear traditional folk music and the tempting tunes of live bands drifting around every corner.
Pub crawl Dublin and consume endless pints, clink glasses to a proud “cheers” in Gaelic and just plain enjoy the ‘craic’ as you drop in to pubs and clubs that have survived through a rich history of war, love and famine, whilst keeping the true Irish spirit alive. Between Friday night and Monday morning, it is said that merry Dublin drinkers enjoy around 9800 pints…an hour – why not add one more (or ten…) to the list?
Whatever you decide to do, make sure your Dublin pub crawl takes a pit stop at the home of that black stout that Ireland is so famous for – the Guinness Storehouse. Situated in the St James Brewery, this place is a true landmark of Irish history. Arthur Guinness sure had the right idea when he leased the brewery for just £45 (a dear price back in 1759) on a contract that allowed rights to the site for the following 9,000 years.
Take a stroll through the brewery and you’ll learn the ins and outs of the Guinness brewing process, have a jolly Irish lad teach you to pour the perfect pint (complete with a four leaf clover on the top), then enjoy a fresh pint at the Gravity bar where you can marvel at breath-taking panoramic views of the entire Dublin city and its surrounding mountains. Dishing out 8 million kegs of proud Dublin-brewed stout a year – you’d be just plain insane not to pay a visit.
