Oktoberfest Beer Maids: Media & Press: Thirsty Swagman
Oktoberfest Beer Maids
Anyone who has ever visited Oktoberfest will notice 2 things: the copious amounts of beer, and the beer maids that serve it.
Check out Europe's Number 1 Oktoberfest beer tours here.
The beer maids, dressed in the traditional Dirndl, keep the 6 million plus visitors to Oktoberfest hydrated, and sometimes carry 10 or more of the 1-liter Maas glasses.
Becoming a beer maid, or waiter, requires not just strength to carry all the beer, but incredible stamina to do so for around 16 days in 12-hour shifts with very few breaks in between.
In the complete chaos that is Oktoberfest, beer maids often have to carry not just beer, but also plates of food through a shoulder-to-shoulder crowd that's been drinking for hours and is in total party mode.
The reward is the tipping money: beer maids can earn in excess of 20,000 Euro for the 2 weeks of Oktoberfest. They deserve every cent of it.
In honour of these fine beer wenches, we have put together a gallery of the hottest girls of Oktoberfest, sporting their Dirndl of course. Enjoy!
