Bar Crawls: Go Big or Go Home
Just like many other industry claims (Oldest Bar in America, etc.), pub crawl dominance is often a matter of semantics.
For example, this St Patricks Day weekend, the Luck of the Irish Pub Crawl registered 3,163 participants who crawled nearly 5 miles over 3 days through 100 different bars in New York City, breaking the Guinness Book record for World's Largest Pub Crawl.
Then there's the folks at Thirsty Swagman Pty Ltd (www.worldsbiggestpubcrawl.com), who have organised "Around the World in 80 Pubs", a 25-day pub crawl that will take place in 80 pubs over the course of 25 days, in 11 cities, nine countries, and four continents.
"See the world the only way it's meant to be seen- through the bottom of a glass!" state the Swagman folk. "Drink your way through four continents and take the finest sights they have to offer: the inside of a pub."
