Space Tourism

Space travel for recreational and leisure purposes is here.

While suborbital space tourism is in its infancy, as it becomes more affordable it will become more popular and is viewed as a money-making proposition by many companies.

Space: The Final Frontier? Not quite – most private space tour operators will only offer suborbital adventures in the near future. While the Kármán Line at 100 kilometers altitude is officially considered space, it will only take travellers into a zero-gravity environment for several minutes before returning to earth.

To drink a beer in space will of course be the ultimate frontier in space

And it’s closer than you think!

An Australian brewery release their Vostok Space Beer, which can be consumed in zero-gravity, in January 2011 and tour operator Thirsty Swagman launched their “Beer in Space” tour in April 2011 offering suborbital flights where budding astronauts can drink a beer in space.
