Drink in the sights on pub crawl across globe
Some travelers are up at the crack of dawn to see the sights. But if you're one of the people they pass on the streets coming home from the clubs at sunrise, an Australian tour operator has just the trip for you. The Around the World in 60 Pubs trip promises a month-long party "without any boring sightseeing or early wake-ups," according to Kenneth Hart, founder of Thirsty Swagman, the agency offering the package.
The tour starts March 24, 2008, in London, and will stop in 11 party spots on four continents, including legendary nightlife capitals such as Munich, Germany; Prague, Czech Republic; the Thai island of Phuket; and Cancun, Mexico. According to Thirsty Swagman's Karen Logan, the destinations are carefully chosen for maximum party potential: "From the longest bar on Earth in Germany to live music pubs in Thailand, every night is action-packed."
