These amazing words were written by our friend Jordin who posted them on his Facebook page on 16th September 2015, a few months after he began his life-changing adventure – leaving behind a life stuck in a rut and waiting for each work day to end. We hope they’ll light that little spark in your life to seek adventure and find your happiness.
Are you happy?
If the answer is no, have you sat down with you and your thoughts and found an honest answer as to why you aren’t doing what it is you truly want to do in life?
When was the last time you crossed something off your bucket list? Do you even have one?
Why haven’t you asked that cutie you catch the train to work with out for Saturday brunch?
Why are you giving up your social life and friends in a blind quest for cash and materials?
Why are you working in a job that you dislike?
Why do you watch a clock and pray that the majority of your day, a day that you will never get back, is over and done with as quick as possible?
Why is it that over time, you, the most dominant, intelligent and capable species on this planet build a cage of lies and excuses justifying the fact that you ‘can’t’ do what you truly want.
As a general state, we in Western society are all born free without ties and restraints. The daily grind and “all work no play” is one of the most toxic man-made phenomena of all time. The mentality of working away your very own life with no questions asked was even a rut I found myself in. I sacrificed time I will never get back for an extra dollar but at the cost of what?
Do yourself a favour and commit to putting yourself and your happiness as a non-excusable main priority for thirty days and ask yourself the same question: are you happy?
Regardless of your age and your past, you are still you, you’re living your one and only life and I hope you find your way to make that one and only life the best fucking life there is.
