Professional tour guides

All of our Oktoberfest tours are led by experienced and knowledgeable Oktoberfest tour guides. Our tour guides won’t leave you out in the cold and will stay with the group for the duration of your Oktoberfest tour experience. They are equipped to assist you should you have any specific requirements.

Need them to walk you to a bank? Show you some of the festival rides? They’ll say prost to that! They’re always on hand to answer any of your questions, help you navigate the Wiesn, decide on food and drinks, and advise on what else you can do while in Munich (and so much more).

You will have a chance to meet them online before our Oktoberfest tours, and then in person at each of the pre-tour meet-and-greets.

Your Oktoberfest Tour – Day 1

On the first day of our Oktoberfest tours you will attend a meet-and-greet with your fellow tour-takers all eager to tick Oktoberfest off their bucket lists. On this first day all Meet-and-Greets will take place in your hotel or a dedicated meeting room (Le Meridien hotel only).

You will meet the Thirsty Swagman Oktoberfest tour crew and the other beer connoisseurs you’ll spend this amazing experience with. Plus, all the information you need about Oktoberfest as well as our full tour schedule, contact information, wristbands, and the Thirsty Swagman welcome pack.

After this meeting, the day is yours to do as you please. For some, that means wasting no time and heading in to the festival grounds to explore some of the rides, eat some of the food, and get a jump on some of the amazing beer tents.

For others that may mean doing some sightseeing, heading to the stores to gather up snacks and supplies, or simply catching up on jetlag to prepare for many fun days ahead.

Your Oktoberfest Tour – Day 2

On the second day of our Oktoberfest tours we include daytime beer tent reservations (from approx. 12pm until 4:30pm). These include guaranteed seating and vouchers for a lunch and 2x Liters of beer. The tent will be confirmed around April each year.

After the reservation ends, you are welcome to walk around and stay in the tent or go check out some of the other tents if you can find a seat. If the weather is nice, some tents also have amazing beer gardens around then – perfect for raising a beer outdoors.

Your Oktoberfest Tour – Day 3

Depending on which hotel package you book, we include another tent reservation. Our guides will again take you from the hotel to the festival grounds and show you countless stands and vendors with delicious food, and then of course to another beer tent.

These beer tent reservations have allocated tables and include vouchers for food and 2x Liters of beer.

Your Oktoberfest tour has ended but that doesn’t mean the fun has to stop. From here, many of our tour-takers either remain in town to explore more of the amazing things to see and do in Munich, head out to discover more of Europe, or continue with us on our 10-day Beer or Bust tour.
