Here’s a summary of the amazing places you’ll visit on the A Knight’s Ale tour, each as if they are straight out of a fairy-tale…

Regensburg (Days 1, 2 & 3)

Your adventure begins in Regensburg, a UNESCO World Heritage site with the highest concentration of bars in all of Germany (a country already famous for its beer drinking). With over 500 bars in the city center alone, you’re clearly destined to have a great time here.

It has a bit of everything: traditional beer gardens, cocktail bars, pubs, a kickass nightlife scene, and the world’s oldest sausage shop the “Wurstkuchl” where in the Middle Ages stonemasons and dockworkers had their refreshments from the open charcoal grill (and the barrels of beer of course).

Nördlingen (Days 4 & 5)

It is said that the most beautiful corners in the world are round and Nördlingen certainly lives up to those words. This hidden gem along Germany’s famous Romantic Road was built in the impact crater of a meteorite and is one of only 3 remaining towns with perfectly intact medieval town walls.

You’ll be raising beers, wine and cocktails at “Das Stäpfele”, a historic underground wine cellar and sampling more beverages at the “Bayrish-Pub” a unique fusion of Irish pub and Bavarian tradition. The food is out of this world (pun intended) in this town and there are countless little beer gardens to keep you hydrated throughout your stay.

Bamberg (Days 6 & 7)

Another UNESCO World Heritage Site, Bamberg is often touted as one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. Dating back to the 9th century, this town has unforgettable scenery to stare at while you drink incredible local brews.

We will even take you to the “Schlenkerla” brewery which was founded in 1405… yes, they’ve been making beer for over 600 years! Famous for its smoked beer, it is one of 13 breweries in Bamberg.

For those that want to up the party notch a bit, we’ll take you to the Sandstrasse – a tiny street lined with dozens of wine & cocktail bars, music bars and traditional Bavarian pubs

Rothenburg ob der Tauber (Days 8 & 9)

A fairy-tale wonderland, Rothenburg ob der Tauber is the jewel in the crown on this adventure.

With exclusive dinner reservations at a thousand-year old tavern… yes you read that right, that’s 1,000 years (!!!)… you’ll be feasting the very finest traditional cuisine and sipping beverages where knights did so a millennium ago.

An optional walking tour takes you along the top of the fortification walls for some stunning views over this town, beer in hand if you desire.

On the day of check-out, we have a courtesy bus transfer to Munich airport & Le Meridien hotel departing from Rothenburg at 11:30am.
